A Brazillian retired player that is widely known as the greatest player to ever play. Pelé played in an era where some people might argue that it was the toughest era to play in and all the teams were evenly matched. Playing in a tougher competition, Pelé managed to still win 3 world cups in 1958, 1962, and 1970. That is an achievement where the greatest players of this generation still have yet to achieve. Rightfully given the nickname “The King” he paved the way for the soccer players to play at the level they play now.

A well rounded player from Argentina. He has speed, power, and amazing dribbling skills. At the club level he has 524 goals in 604 games. He is almost guaranteed to score anytime he touches the ball. Messi has accomplished a lot in his career but there is one thing he hasn’t achieved yet, a world cup title. In the International games he still needs to bring his country a championship, and if he does he might be considered best of all time no question.

Maradona was a guy that didn’t even look athletic but played hell of a game. He is a legend who had great vision, speed, ball control, passing, and reflexes. No wonder why players model their game after him. Playing in 2 World Cups as a captain and winning the cup in 1986 puts him in the talks of being the greatest of all time. A player that can takeover by himself on a team.

Ronaldinho was a innovative player that had a tremendous amount of technical skills. A natural talent that played at a high level in between the different generation of the game. Winning World Player of the Year two times in his career there is no doubt he is probably one of the best dribblers of all time. Watching his ball control and dribbling skills was a fun thing to watch. Ronaldinho was a vital piece in winning the 2002 World Cup title.

Now I know Neymar is still young but he is on the list because of what he has accomplished so far and the potential he has. He is already one of the most talked about player and has a great international play resume. At 25 years old he has scored 52 goals on the national team. He may surpass the legend Pelé who has a record of 77. Neymar is surely another player that is very fun to watch and considered an all star at this point of his career.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Do we need to talk about all the accolades Ronaldo has achieved? Arguably the most complete player in soccer, he has a knack for scoring. Not only is he one of the most popular widely known players but he was the most expensive player in history from 2009 to 2013. There is still one thing he needs to chase is a World Cup title. Even without it though he is in serious talks of being greatest of all time.
